Mary Durgunoglu-Brown

Mary Durgunoglu-Brown is a contemporary oil painter residing in the Bay Area. Mary draws from her personal relationships to explore the complexities of womanhood, motherhood, and feminine identity. Curating interactive experiences is a critical part of her process for eliciting organic emotions from her subjects. Memorializing the women she knows in paint allows Mary to process her interpersonal experiences with women important in her life.

Mary is primarily self taught. She has exhibited work at The de Young Museum Open, Salmagundi Club NY, and SF Art Fair. Mary is currently represented by Chloe Gallery in San Francisco, CA.
