Colored clay plates are made from reclaim stoneware and thrown on the wheel. Surfaces have an organic grit texture and are light in weight. Dried clays are rehydrated in water, blended until viscus and smooth, then blended with varying concentrations of mason stains. Once the clays are blended and colored, they’re slowly dried on a plaster bat and later wedged into balls of clay. The surface of each piece is glazed shiny and clear while bottoms and sides are left unglazed to highlight the clay body texture and demonstrate the color changes between raw and glazed clay.

Each piece of handmade pottery varies slightly in design and size and is considered a unique piece of art.
